Yellow is the currency of the Hoi An flower market. This market, held in late January, is an exciting predecessor to the annual Tet holiday, or Vietnamese Lunar new year. The main roads that lead into the historic old town are blocked off and for one whole week the area bleeds colour. These yellow chrysanthemums are among the most popular flowers at the market and form what looks like a walkway enviable of the Wizard of Oz himself.
